Reviews about Aaron's

  • March 10, 2019, by Jason Suljetovic
UPDATE 9/21/2017: 24 hours after writing this post, I was contacted by Aaron's Vice President about the issue. He apologized and has offered to write me a reference letter to correct the issue. In addition to that, he has called me to make sure I received the letter several times. I do regret that it had to happen this way, but I am amazed by the prompt reaction from the top itself to a customer' concern. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Mr. John Cleek Jr. for handling this issue so amazingly. I do want to add that I had no issue whatsoever with my purchasing experience at Aaron's but just this specific issue. Accordingly, I am changing my rating to 5 stars. P.S. The girls who works there, Kenya, is awesome! In February of 2017 I bought a 65inch LG smart TV. I am extremely pleased with my product but that is thanks to the manufacturer and not the seller. When I was buying the TV I was told by the representatives there that my regular payments would show on my credit report. This was a bonus for me since I just moved to the country and need to build credit. I payed the TV off within a month using their same as cash option. At that time in March, I was again assured that those payments would be reported.I called again in July, no reported payments from Aarons on my profile. I have been trying to purchase a car and have called Aarons to ask them if they could provide a letter of recommendation for me since the payments will obviously not be reported to any of the credit agencies and the person I talked to basically told me ''Well just use the receipt.'' If I had wanted to make a copy of the receipt I definitely could have. What I wanted is basically a reference from the store saying that I was a customer that made his payments in a timely manner and that they would do business with me again. This would help me be observed as a responsible customer. The staff could not be bothered to help me with writing a 20 word document but had no issue taking literally a lot of money. Again, I am satisfied with my product, but their customer service stops when you pay them off. As soon as I bought the TV, it was delivered without its original box and without its instructions and I was willing to neglect that knowing that I will need to conduct some business with them. Needless to say that I will never be spending a cent of my money at Aarons or will I ever recommend them to anyone who has difficulties building their credit. Lesson learned. Thank you Aarons.
